PET TRAINING
Training a dog can be challenging, but there is nothing better than a safe and balanced emotional connection between the owner and their pet. At Amy’s Animal Love, our goal is to teach a variety of techniques to make you and your dog connect for a happy life together. We specialize in balanced, family dog training for the whole family. Bringing a clear set of consistent information to the family and dog will help achieve a successful relationship for everyone. Using a calm and assertive approach, we train basic obedience commands and work with correcting unwanted behaviors. We teach the dog, family, even kids, what the behavior should be, and then help the dog achieve success with consistency and repetition. We guide dogs to make good decisions, which in turn, creates confidence for the dog. We use a variety of training tools including food, clickers, prong/pressure collars (Herm-Sprenger ) and E-Collar technology (Mini Educator).
Training Packages and Prices
♥ 1 Hour Training Session ($175) – In Person
We know people are busy and often want quick information. At this one-on-one session, we spend 10 minutes discussing any issues you are having with your dog and the rest of the time trouble shooting these issues by sharing techniques to help stop unwanted behaviors. Some issues may include: jumping on guests, counter surfing, getting in the trash/litter box, rushing doors and fences, resource guarding food, toys, people, and many more. Please note that we will try and focus on only one or two concerns so you can get the most effectiveness out of your time.
♥ 1 Hour Training Session/VIRTUAL ($125) – Video Call
We are here to help!! Amy will work one-on-one talking, observing and demonstrating techniques with you on a video call. She is happy to go over your needs in this one hour session. Prior to the session you will send an email with your needs/concerns/desired outcomes so that the session will give you the most time to work on the Video Chat to help with your training needs. Many people find this to be extremely helpful and can get many questions answered to get their training headed in the right direction or back on track. The best part about Video Sessions is that they can be done from anywhere in the world.
♥ 2 Session (2 Hour) WALK the WALK ($250)
Just walking on a leash can often be challenging when a dog doesn’t know what to do. We will take time to JUST focus in on walking on a dog a leash and prong collar and address mild reactivity. In the first session, we cover how to properly fit a prong collar on your dog, prong safety and introducing the tool to your dog. The second session we will cover how to handle reactivity with your dog while on a walk. Walking a dog can be so much fun, we will help you find your happiness in walking again.
♥ 2 Session (3 Hour) MINI-BASICS ($375)
This package helps build a great training foundation by teaching WALKING/THRESHOLD/PLACE commands. In the first session (2-Hours) we will discuss your goals and work on the structured walk and waiting at thresholds with you and your dog. At the second session (1-Hour) we will teach the place command. Some basic obedience really empowers many people to see what their true relationship with their dog can be, and we are excited to help get you started.
♥ 5 Session (6 Hour) THE BIG BASICS ($850)
People often say, I just want my dog to be a good dog and know what to do…we will show you that, step by step. In our most popular package, your dog and you will learn the commands for HEEL/PLACE/SIT/DOWN/RECALL/THRESHOLD/OUT. We will cover all prong collar training information and make sure you feel confident to train your dog safely and with confidence. We know that once your dog knows what you want, then they will start to live a much calmer and balanced life with you everyday. We encourage our clients to stay focused on their training by doing weekly sessions and enjoying their homework in between. (ALL SESSIONS MUST BE COMPLETED IN 6-WEEKS FROM THE START DATE)
♥ 2-Week Board & Train Program (W/4-Hours Client Training) $2500
This program is for dogs 6-months & older with no major behavior/aggression issues.
(*Price does not include E-Collar ($180-250) or Herm Sprenger collars ($12-$50))
We offer an in home program where your dog will be given a 24/7 immersion training program with structure, guidance, and rules of behavior within a family home. As their state of mind is shifted to balanced obedience and overall behavior, you will be empowered to continue this training long after they have come home. We do the “heavy lifting” of training, but love passing off your dog with their new skills that will give you a life time of fun together! We never leave you hanging…that is why we have four hours of client trainings included in this package, so that you will build an incredible relationship with your dog for years to come!
We use low-level communication, with Herm-Sprenger Prong Collars and E-Collar technology that is the most gentle, remote communication available in dog training. The following skills will be taught throughout the two weeks: walking on leash, eliminating any pulling or reactivity, sit/stay, down/stay, place/duration work, recall/here, thresholds. We will also cover jumping, nipping, mouthing, excessive barking and counter surfing.
Included in the 2-Week Board and Train is a 30-minute consult upon drop off, a 2-Hour training at the end of the program, where all the information will be transferred to the owner for continued success of all the new behavior techniques. Finally, an additional (3)-One Hour Training Sessions, will continue to build that concrete structure for the best balanced behavior you and your dog will ever know!! We recommend completing all client training within 2 months of boarding, for the most benefit of information and continued success.
